I got a call from this number same time each day for days and days. Same thing, no one on the other end. So I dared to call it back and a person answered it was for some firefighters fund for injured people or something, didn't get the whole name but I think it sounds a bit scammish. They are hanging up until you get frustrated and call them back at which point they make their pitch, do it gets around the do not call rules. I asked to get off the list and the man sounded nice but we'll see.
Got a call from this number and they hung up when I answered. I called the number back and was put on hold with music playing; after a few minutes, i got tired of waiting to speak to a person and hung up. Very annoying.
Caller ID is listed as Service Call. It was some organization called Childrens International or something soliciting money for a drive. I dont know how they got my phone number or address because they asked me to confirm it.
I would not be giving money to them anyway because who would be stupid enough to give our information over the phone!? but also calling randomly to people asking for money? no thanks.
I returned this call and they say the are the Committee for Missing Children. Asked to be taken off the list and they rudely hung up on me. They've called me time and time again and when I pick up, no one answers but when I called them back, the knew my first name.
