This number called and there was a recorded message, I've had it many times before. When I waited for a real person to speak with they just hung up(because I asked to be removed from their list), and when I called back the number was disconnected. Quite a feat as they had only been on the phone 10-15 seconds prior. I wonder why I answer the phone anymore. Oh yeh, since real people who want speak with me about real things in their life should be able to use a phone and talk with whomever they would like to and I shouldn't have to worry about it being some annoying sales/telemarketing/[***] call that if I wanted their 'service' I would contact them. Not the other way around. What can you do nowadays? Do these 'Do Not Call' lists work? If not what else can we do? My (somewhat elderly) Mother gets inundated with calls for people that only share her last name. Any help is appreciated, it can be reciprocial as well. Peter Detroit
I rec'd a call and it was just like a few above in that a recording about my vehicle warranty follows after answering. It is an attempt to scare as it says this is the last attempt we'll make to call you and then your car will be reclassified as junk. (?) So, I hit 1 and waited for a real person; he blurted out extremely fast "what is the make and model of your car"...I said "wait a minute"...he then called me an expletive and hung up.
I received the call and automatic message said my vehicle will be *classified. When chose option to talk to a representative, the representative asked me my vehicle model, plate number, I asked which vehicle, and what is this about, then that guy hung up.
Looks like a fraud, not just a sales call.
Well, what I don't understand is they aren't getting any BUSINESS because the reps keep hanging up on the customer. What is the point of calling anyways????? if they are going to just hang up. Can't make money that way.
