I received a partial recorded message on my voicemail from this number - something about they made several attempts to contact me and it was my last chance to do something but it cut out before it said what. It also just said 'Deland, FL' on the caller id, but no company name. I didn't attempt to call the number back based on the feedback here. :) I did register a complaint with the FCC's Do Not Call website. I wish these scammers would get a clue. It's very annoying! Received call from this #, I answered it and the man said it was about my warranty but could not tell me anything about what car it was. He then asked if I had a 2004 or 2005 vehicle, I told him that my mother did(she lives with us) and before I could get the type of car out of my mouth, he said "that's it, that's it". So i asked how did he knew if he hadn't looked it up (he didn't have time to look it up that quick) and he said he did look it up. I asked him if he could look it up by my phone # since he had that info and he said he couldn't. After he tried to convince me it was my mom's car, I asked him what name was on the warranty and he said my last name but there is no way it was my last name because my name is no where on my mom's car loan/title so I told him no it can't be that and he hung up. Of course the # was disconnected.
My experience was the same as those before me. My voice mail came on and there was no message but my caller id indicated the number as above - 386-736-8732. I too am on the Do Not Call registery. It's most annoying these companies get away with bothering people all over the country.
yes, this is a scammer who uses the ruse of a car warranty about to expire. If you *69 and call back the this is not a number recording & busy signal are fakes...they copied them and play this on their answering machine and then hang up on you. They've thought this out. Would love to see them in prison getting the "warranties" loved for a few years.
