I just missed a call from this number too on my cell. Curious to check what the area code the phone number is for, I found numerous reports on calls from this number. Glad I googled it before returning the call
I just got a call from this number, but did not answer. I got a call from another strange number last week which I looked up and is also a warranty scam. That number was also described by others as disconnected when they tried to call.
The people running this scam are spoofing the caller ID so that a fake number shows up. The reason you get a message that the number is disconnected when you call it is likely because the person that actually had that number was being harassed by people being called by the scammers. I know if I started getting angry calls from people, I'd change my number too.
for the one hundred time they have called to say my warranty is up , I tell them to drop my name from the list they say will do . but they keep calling .
I had a missed call and this number was listed. The trouble is that the call came in on my work cell phone. When I tried to call the number back, it says it is connected and then disconnected within the same instant.
