My mother received a phone call today from 404-330-0248 stating they were calling from Publishers Clearing House and that she had just won $500,000.00. My mother did order from PCH so she thought it might be legit. I asked for the number and found this forum. Thank goodness. They asked if she was married, divorced, widowed; asked if she had a valid drivers license, and if her son lived in the house. When all questions were answered they said they were now going to transfer the call to their attorneys and then the call was disconnected. She has tried calling back and received nothing but a busy signal. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM...
my wife answered call saying we won $ . She said We were not interested and hung up. The caller immediately called back and my wife hung up again. He called a third time and I answered and he threatened to shoot the Mrs at my address which he stated And called me a Mother F-er. Obviously some one you don't want to deal with.
My mom received the same call today about winning $500,000 and he asked many questions.He stated that an attorney would call her back after 1PM. She did not give him any info on her finances. He did ask about her living arrangements and who all lived with her, she did not give any names.
You cannot win a contest you never entered. You cannot win a lottery you never bought a ticket on. You cannot believe a cold calling stranger is who they say they or, or if they are telling the truth. NEVER give out personal or financial information on a phone call you did not make.
they keep calling 10 times a day...I just hang up cause Im very busy, next time I wont hang up...I will post what they they tell me....someone might be interested. thank you.
