My mother received a phone call today from 404-330-0248 stating they were calling from Publishers Clearing House and that she had just won $500,000.00. My mother did order from PCH so she thought it might be legit. I asked for the number and found this forum. Thank goodness. They asked if she was married, divorced, widowed; asked if she had a valid drivers license, and if her son lived in the house. When all questions were answered they said they were now going to transfer the call to their attorneys and then the call was disconnected. She has tried calling back and received nothing but a busy signal. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM...
Received call today from Fisher Grant & Associates, rep said he had large cash sum settlement award for me. I said I beelived this call was a scam, and he hung up.
I got a call from Calvin Rhodes stating that I had won 500,000.00 as a 2nd place prize. He said that he was with Attn Fisher Grant in Atlanta, Ga #404-330-0248. He also said that a courier would bring me the money on Mon. Jan 25 between 9 and 11 (never happened). I searched the internet and found that there is indeed an attorney in Atlanta by the name of Fisher Grant. I called to complain but the line is continuously busy. I think it is a shame that someone can call and scam a person in such a manner. I plan to pursue till complaint is made with someone.
