Just received a called from the same people. Very rude and scary too. They have been calling for several of month now. I been threaten several of times but refuse to give them any information. Please tell what should i do now. I have there number blocked but they still call and leave messages.
HI I got a call from them today as well. They gave me until 5pm to pay otherwise there will be a warrant for my arrest. So, I called the local police department in my town. They tome to ignore there calls and scare tactic because that is what they are. I would advise to call your attorney generals office as talk to them. Call a attorney office and talk to them for advise and piece of mind. Talking to these people will give you knowledge and piece of mind. When I talked to the police they stated this is an civil issue not a criminal issue. they can not issue warrant for a civil issue. They are just trying to scare us.
Today, I also got a call from these people. The woman claimed that a check was returned from my bank and they had to talk to me about it. This is a cell phone number and obviously a scam. I have NOT had a check returned, except for a fraudulent charge from Great Britain that my bank caught. My check card, along with several others was compromised about two weeks ago. Why can't the Feds get these criminals? We don't answer any call that we do not recognize the number. I am tired of not being able to answer the phone without fearing some jerk to threaten me or my family.
I was told on a recorded message to call 404-445-2833 concerning a returned item from my bank. First of all, it makes no sense why unknown caller would show up on my caller ID if it were my bank calling. Secondly, why wouldn't they say the name of the bank if the bank was calling me. Finally, I have no returned items.
