rec'd an automated call with caller ID showing a number 605-301-4167 which is Pierre, SD (I do live in SD), but they gave a call back number as 404-445-3284 stating there was a "note" attached to my name & Drivers License.?? What with this?
I am from Tennesee and I am recieving call stating that their name is 4 star Revanue Management and they told me that their address was 2400 scneca street Suite 7 West Scneca NY 14210. They call me with an unavaliable number but tell me to call back at 313-405-7357 and says that my debt is attacted to my drivers license as well for a payday loan
Having lunch with the State Attorney General's liaison when this call came in was very advantageous. She took the number and had it traced to a place outside of Atlanta, called North Druid Hills, and found that it is a SMS type of phone; and also found some 40 complaints filed against its alleged parent company, Four Star Revenue Management, out of Buffalo, New York. So, now we're filing a complaint with the New York and Georgia State Attorneys General over the abusive behaviour shown by this company...
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION!! They are scam artists.I received a call from this number. They left an automated voicemail saying it was my "official notice." I called and asked for documentation called a "Validation Notice" five times and they refused to send it to me. If they were legit, why would they refuse? What they do is look for outstanding debts, looks like mostly Pay Day loans and try to collect on them. When I told them I didn't have any outstanding loans, they asked me to provide proof. I told them I would not give them any information until I received the written notice. The person on the phone said. "Why would we waste our time sending you the letter when you've paid this debt." What?? Any reputable company would happily provide the documentation. I have spoken with 6 different people and still have not received any documentation. Each time we go round and round as to why they have not sent the information and then they hang up on me. They threatened to sue me and take me to court. As scary as it sounds, a legitimate company will send a letter without hesitation and if they are going to serve you it has to be in person. Get as much information as you can and contact the State Attorney Generals office.
I got the same type of call they said they got a claim against my liscence number and it was to collect money for a cash advance that I did not pay back that went to collections they said the company took it out of collections and if I don't pay they will take me to court. this was in Columbus ohio.
