They being portfoilo recovery calls 50-60 times a week for no reason! Sent them a certifed letter to stop but these bottom feeders DON'T follow the law . God help you if you just got a new number and the previous owner had been on their list.. All companies sell your new umber to them weekly in a list so its hit or miss to get a number they don't have ..LAWYER time ,then run around trying to collect from them!
I receive calls from this number and they never leave a message (I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize). If these are true debts they would be sending a letter and not continually make phone calls if they are unable to reach you (in my opinion). .
Companies like theirs do that they will call from what looks like some individuals phone number and the area code and phone numbers varie may indicate the call is originating from various locations I think they plan on catching folks off guard where may answer the call Just to see Who it is calling,The chances are if you dont even Know anyone from the area code being called from be suspicious.
Did you know even if you Block a phone number thats calling you in regards to to collection the Blocked number will Still ring thru Blocking doesnt work regarding those phone numbers,Applies to any and all phone numbers that are calling regarding colection.
So they are trying to collect on an old student loan from 30 years ago. If they are calling you at work, send them a registered
return receipt letter instructing them that this is a work number, and they are not allowed to call you there. It's the law.
