just answered a call from this # as i was reading what others had posted. they asked to talk to parents of my high school age daughter said she had attended a college prep class or gone on a scholarship website and i told him she had not done such a thing. he asked me if i wanted to be placed on a do not call list and seemed very nice about it but we will see..... they have been calling for the past week a couple times a day so we will see if the calls stop.
I did not sign up to receive calls from this number, listed as "WS Learning Center". They know that my child took a PSAT exam and offer tutoring. I did not release this information. I have told them I am not interested and they continue calling several times per day.
I have been receiving calls from WS (Word Smart) Learning Center (404-891-5531), daily for over two weeks now. Today, I answered and they asked to speak with the parents of my daughter. When I said, "Excuse me?" They hung up. I traced to call to Atlanta, Georgia. I then called back and learned that "WS" stands for Word Smart and when a rep answered I asked to have my number removed from the list as I have reported their harrassing phones calls to the police. The gentleman was very nice, verified my phone number, assured me that it would be removed and apologized for the inconvinience. We shall see!!!!
Same as others. Said my kid had checked a box on the ACT pretest to purchase ACT study material.
First...what is that kind of a offer doing on the test itself? Secondly...the telemarketer hung up on me when I said "give my your number, I'll talk to my daughter and call you back"...she just hung up. Up until that point, I thought it might be a legitimate offer. Scams coming at us these days from every conceivable direction. Trust me when I say I'll talk to the person responsible for putting the offer on the test.
This number calls at least 4x a day. Sometimes they jut listen to your voice and hung up. they never leave a message. We told them once that we are not interested. They kept calling...
