just answered a call from this # as i was reading what others had posted. they asked to talk to parents of my high school age daughter said she had attended a college prep class or gone on a scholarship website and i told him she had not done such a thing. he asked me if i wanted to be placed on a do not call list and seemed very nice about it but we will see..... they have been calling for the past week a couple times a day so we will see if the calls stop.
They were calling all week from a different number so I blocked that number, now they are calling from 404-891-5531. How many times do I have to tell them to stop calling. I am sick of getting home from work and having all these telemarketers call all the time. I am on the do not call list and get calls everyday on home and cell phones with people trying to lower my rates, different foundations, the red cross calls at least 7 times a week and if I don't answer they call right back.
I have reported each and every call and nothing changes.
I have had this happen also. They call 3-4 times per day, every day!!! I finally started answering in order to tell them to stop, but no one is there. These are robo calls, where they dial numerous numbers per time, and only connect with one. I called the number back, and chose to speak w/ a representative in order to get a live voice. I told her to stop calling. I am on the do not call list, and this is harassment. She was very rude, but the calls stopped for a few weeks. They have again started up! I have blocked the call thru Comcast, but the phone will still ring one time every time they call.
I just received a call from someone wanting to sell me a program for my grandchild to help with act/sat test scores plus getting scholarships. He wanted $169.80 up front. I told him I would have to speak to the children's mother and could I get a phone number. He came back with a "never mind" and hung up. Beware It's got to be a scam.
