I checked around. This phone number is 'called' Tea Party Patriots. Apparently they don't have anything to do with the 'tea party'. The common characteristic among the call recipients is that someone in the household (or the address) might have voted for the Republicans (GOP) in one of the last 2 elections. So this number (group) is being used to harass these people till they get fed up with the Tea Party and stop supporting it.
I can't get more information to find out if this is a Democratic funded scammer or someone doing it on his own funds to try help the Democrats.
Remember the IRS!
Maybe, this is a variant on the same kind of harassment.
If it is really the Tea Party calling, they would wait to talk to you about their cause and ask for your support or at least, for a donation. This number just calls till you want to pull your hair out. No other intent behind it.
keep getting all these calls on a private no. so know they bought it from some outfit, this one didn't leave a mess. gonna put in a complaint on do not call registry, already in that.
It is a fraudulent organization posing as the Tea Party/TTP:
Block the caller! It's easy!
To access Call Block on most all phones:
Lift the handset and listen for dial tone.
Press * 6 0 (Rotary dial 1-1-6-0.)
Listen to the voice-recorded instructions for Call Block options. The phone
numbers you enter on your Call Block list will be repeated to you.
The number of the last person who called you may be added to your Call
Block list by following the voice-recorded instructions. If you want to add to
your list or if your list is full, listen to the voice-recorded instruction
The Small Claims comment seems questionable. A judgement in Small Claims Court is limited to $5000 in most states - $3000 in others. Taking a building is far beyond the typical judgement. Somebody embellished that story just a wee bit. However, that said, it would be nice if we could have that kind of leverage. I, too, am tired of their calls.
