Male caller implied by his question-style speech.... "My wife's 1st name?" as he was connected on an open line by a computer prompt.... I answered with my usual "male" voice with my profession credentials followed by my last name.... and the caller hung up! ........ VERY SUSPICIOUS . Hmmm... Oh, 1 more thing .... he called at 8:15 PM CST. Very sad indeed that we can put a man on the moon and send pictures back from Mars and receive chemical analysis of space-dust from the back side of Pluto, but can't figure out how to stop these bottom feeder scum from playing the numbers game and scamming the good citizens of the USA ! "Foundation of American Vets" !!! Yeah, RIGHT!!!!
According to a Charity Navigator report in 2005, the Foundation for American Veterans used just 6 cents of every dollar raised for services for veterans.
Despite this lack of transparency with regard to their financial information, we were able to locate a form filed by the Foundation for American Veterans, Inc. with the Secretary of State for the State of Washington (charities must register in each state in which they intend to solicit donations). According to the information filed with Washington State, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2007, the organization had revenue of $5,263,927, and spent $528,196 on program services out of total expenses of $5,118,508.

I have avoided answering a ton of calls from this number, but after seeing the posts here, I decided to answer the next time they called. When I picked up this evening, before I could even hear anyone on the line, I immediately said, "Take me off your list!" The caller responded, "Yes sir. I'll add you to our do not call list. Sorry to bother you." Now we'll see if they REALLY take me off their list.
Stop Calling me You Creeps! I know it's a scammer after all I've read about this number. "Foundation for American Veterans" I call BS on this, they only give 6 cents on the dollar to any programs just to try and stay "legit". Now I pick up the phone now and just lay it down letting them waste their time. Hoping they give up. I just feel sorry for the old people without caller ID.
