We are on the Do Not Call Registry - have been for a number of years. . . this company/org calls here 2 and 3 times a day and on weekends...it's beyond annoying. I SO wish there was something that could be done to stop these type calls.
I'll zap them for you and stop the calls if that's any help. In truth, nobody on here has more control over it than you, nor any control over who calls who. Making sure there's no kind of answer for mystery callers is a step in the right direction. Enough times calling without something, they often get tired of bothering numbers that have nothing. With automatic answers, the caller's likely to continue since they know the number's alive and it's a live voice they're after most. Other than finding working numbers and leaving threatening messages, callers have no chance to rip off an answering machine/voicemail.
