you can help by calling the FCC as described in the post to which I am replying. It takes some time to navigate through the appropriate menu for unwanted telephone calls and faxes, but once you get to that menu option, select the number "0" to report the complaint. I had to listen to the FCC recording several times to understand that part.
Also, it seems the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is more likely to process your complaint as their jurisdiction is more complete in this case. In order to report the complaint to the FTC, call
Called me this AM. (on Cell phone) no one there when i answered Googled # when I got home from work. Then called & pressed 1. then about 530 local time got another call. When I asked about what companies you are said"we work with AMEX, Visa, Master Card & Discover. When I asked if they participated with the federal do not call list I was told FU** OFF. What a class company. NOT!!!!!!!
It's a scam. "2nd notice about credit card interest rate" blah blah blah. I've never missed a payment, never missed a notice, and have never paid interest on any of my credit cards.
***Always call your bank or credit union's main phone (or another number provided by someone you talked to after calling that line). Never respond directly to unsolicited offers for debt relief. Legitimate companies will understand your caution when you tell them that you're going to call them back via their main switchboard/receptionist, to verify they are who they claim to be.*** CALLER ID CAN BE FAKED.
Also, why isn't "scam" a call type on this website...there's a big difference between an annoying, law-abiding telemarketer and a malicious scammer.
Some kind of debt reduction company. Said press 1 to speak to a live representative and 3 to be removed from list. I pressed 3 and the call ended. Hope it worked.
