you can help by calling the FCC as described in the post to which I am replying. It takes some time to navigate through the appropriate menu for unwanted telephone calls and faxes, but once you get to that menu option, select the number "0" to report the complaint. I had to listen to the FCC recording several times to understand that part.
Also, it seems the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is more likely to process your complaint as their jurisdiction is more complete in this case. In order to report the complaint to the FTC, call
"2nd notice about credit card interest rate..." Definitely a scam since I dont have any credit cards.
I asked her if they were with my bank... she said they work with all credit agency bla, bla, bla... very scripted, well trained to BS.
I asked what Bank they were with and she hung up.
I get 2 or 3 of these a month. the last one said his name was Jon Locke and worked for Witmore Industries, and his managers name was Jack... thought he was real funny... eventually transfered me to "Kate" where he faked a woman's voice and... well I lost interest at that point... DEFINITELY A SCAM!!!!
Can someone get these @$$hats to call a member of congress so they'll crack down on this crap. apparently, the FTC doesn't care until someone important gets scammed/annoyed.

I answered and received an automated message stating that it was my second and final notice to lower my credit card interest as low as 6.9%. I pressed 1 to see what they were talking about and received no answer. A few hours later, I got the call again stating the same message, pressed 1 once again to see what they were all about. He stated that he was from cardmember services, but didn't mention his name like most professional companies do. I asked what credit card company they were associated with and he hung up without saying anything more.
