I just called them trying to sell a photocopier, not much in the way of retaliation but to me it felt great. They did not need one so I told them i would call tomorrow and see if they had changed thier mind.
I just got a call from this number and the guy offered me a referral. Thankfully my youngest was throwing a fit and I said I would call him back. Of course red flags and alarms went right off. I live and work in Alaska and I'm still new to the business. Why would some Yahoo in Montana call me out of the blue and offer me a referral? There certainly are many other more well known licensees in this than me in this arena! So, I walked over and googled his number, after I told him I would call him back. No, Not gonna do it!, No, Not gonna do it! Sorry, that was my Dana Carvy Hurbert Walker Bush impression.
You're a moron if you don't use lead services....they are providing the upperhand on competition!!! Maybe it's the agent's fault for not being able to work the lead properly. I make half of my sales off of lead gen companies!!!!
Had a lady by the name of Anna call me stating she had a real estate referral for me in a particular area. When I told her I did not service that area she hung up on me. I called her back and asked why she rudely hung up on me and told her to take me off their list. She told me we had been disconnected and that they had no list but found me through Point2 agent. She also told me if you advertise we call you. Don't do business with these arrogant idiots.
Well today, they called Stamford Connecticut. A woman was on the line and hung up when I asked some questions. Seemed suspicious so that's why I ended up here.
For the agent who did so much business through a lead generation service - which one do you recommend that you like so much. The folks in Montana called me with a $600,000 Buyer wanting immediate service but they called me this past Friday evening after Thanksgiving! I thought that was pretty weird and when I called back within about 30 mintues they were closed for the weekend. That's when I realized it was a lead generation service. If it is legitimate, fine, if I can take it a lead at the time it might be worth the $99 per lead. I used House Values for a year spending over $400 per month, and did not get a single listing - just about all were just curious about the value of their home, the other 3 listed with someone they knew or bought the house through. I was paying for 20 listings a month.
If you don't mind sharing who you use and what percentage you close and the size of the city you are in, I would really appreicate it!
