It was the fourth time they called my home since late August, disturbing me as I was working on meals, making me think it was my husband calling from work. I am on the DNC list.
The first 3 times I hung up when I heard the beginning of the recording but I marked down the number, date and time. This time I pressed 1 for a real person and got Cheryl. I told her who I was and that I wanted my number removed from the list for these pesty calls. She replied, "You're pretty pesty yourself", and inserted my name at the end of her sentence. I was outraged. She proceeded to tell me to wait for another call then press 2 to get my number off. I demanded that she remove my number and I stated that I would be reporting her to the FCC, then I hung up. My complaint has been filed. You can do this too.
Surf up FCC and choose "file a complaint". They will guide you through the choices for types of calls and types of complaints. You will file online after completing a long form where you can describe your difficulties. Have dates and times in hand if possible.
This is the second time I have reported a number to the FCC. The first time was successful in stopping the harrassment.
Got a call from this number today from someone named "Jorge" at Quid Corp. Said I was on the DNC list and he told me he couldn't take my number off the list but if I'd call 1-702-522-9999 and press option #2, that would take my name off the list. Yeah, right...easier just to file a complaint with the FCC. These guys are really bottom feeders...
