Called my cell phone just now. I did not pick up. No VM set up, so no message was left.

Same here.  Just said Hi, hung up. Called number back, got same message.

Same here! He called my cell like half an hour ago, when I picked up, I said "Hello?" and got an "Um, hi" back from a nasally male. Then he hung up, I guess.
