person called my cell and I didn't answer. thought I would look it up and Voila lots of people today from all over getting calls. My guess is that they are pulling numbers off the internet some way and cold calling them to initiate a scam. ' read the other comments' could be they have an auto dialer and are too busy scamming at times to talk to the next person dailed. just report them and they will have to work harder.
Seriously, please do not answer calls you do not recognize. This group has been playing the same scam from various #s for years. The reason they don't respond, or hang up after you say hello is because they don't need to talk to you to steal your identity. They look up your number in a reverse directory, giving them your name, which eventually leads to them to everything they need to know to do whatever they want with your life, including attacking your bank account directly. Unless you have the funds to fight the bank to reimburse the NSF charges {no, they won't take credit for it, they'll blame it on you}, & eons to waste trying to clean up your credit score {mine was 533 because of these jerks the last time I checked}, DON'T PLAY WITH THEM, it's dangerous, & really, really, really dumb. Sorry, no offense intended, but it's true. I know you didn't personally play with them intentionally, but plenty of others do.
Called a 630 area code (outside of Chicago) cell phone that is on the "Do Not Call" list. Doesn't sound like a company I would want to do business with.
