person called my cell and I didn't answer. thought I would look it up and Voila lots of people today from all over getting calls. My guess is that they are pulling numbers off the internet some way and cold calling them to initiate a scam. ' read the other comments' could be they have an auto dialer and are too busy scamming at times to talk to the next person dailed. just report them and they will have to work harder.
same thing with me. Guy said Hi and then bad connection he was gone. I called back and it was a recording that asked if I didn't want to get specail promotions press 1. which i did
I too got the call and the hang up - BUT I called back and the answering machine asked if I wanted my number deleted from they telemarketing list, and of so press #1, I did and I would suggest you do the same otherwise you'll probably he hearing from him!!! Mr. Silent from Montana
OK, thanks for this I called the number here at ftc.gov and filed a complaint...1-877-382-4357, you get a real person and it only takes a few mins.... he says its called a fishing expedition to get your details, I gave him all there details, number, location and the name Jamie.... I think the more people who complain to FTC the quicker they will clamp down on them... use your power..
Oh PS he gave me the number for the 'do not call registry' and suggested I register my cell (home already registered).. here's the number : 888 382 1222
