Received a call from 14066348998 about 30 min. ago. Computer-generated SCAM call in Spanish, informing about winning a lottery. The number on caller ID is spoofed, it was never in service. The call is most likely made by predictive dialer and could be originating from anywhere around the globe; actual computer making this call can be in your neighbor's attic, in Honduras, or in Nigeria - finding out exact location would require equipment which only the Feds can legally possess.
Just block it - eventually these guys will either get arrested for something unrelated, or killed by rival family, but till then there is nothing you can do.
I just got one too! A few weeks ago, I called the hotline to get telemarkers away from calling your phone, but they just called me while I was taking a test in my class!
They called my cell phone. The number comes from a landline phone in Maryland or Montana, I forgot now, lol. I called back and it's been taken off the hook.
My information was sold when I was on car.com. This number has been calling me ever since. No one answers when you call back and nothing left on my voicemail when they called just a few minutes ago. My number is on the do not call list, so hopefully I can report them.
