I knew this was a scam right away.. I tried to play along and ask question after question, and even asked to speak with a 'supervisor'... When I explained that I was aware of their scam he went on a little rant and rave and actually called me an [***] before hanging up on me...
I used to get these calls regarding my car warranty (I don't have a car with a warranty) and I was able to call them back... Unfortunately, this number does not receive incoming calls :-(
One cannot do anything about this as the caller is likely out of the country. However you can press 1, get them on the line, and waste as much of their time saying you are looking for your credit card information while you stall them, but never give them anything truthful or give them totally bogus information if you want to so they waste more time. TIME is their MONEY. WASTE IT. They will get the hint and not call again. They are paying someone to talk to you. They are not stupid but are hoping you are. These people are criminals phishing for your credit card information to charge purchases to your card. They are likely a foreign former student with English language skills working for pennies while their boss lives in luxury mansions while his countrymen live in third world squalor.
Just received call from Service Dispatch to tell me there was NOT a problem with my credit card>>>funny funny as I do not have a credit card!! I immediately dialed the number back & SURPRIZE all operators were busy & try calling" another day" is what the recording said. I am on the do not call list & will now file a complaint with the government website for unwanted calls.
