i also keep getting calls and I told them it was a scam into getting credit card #'s and the woman hung up on me. Trying to get the charges reversed and she was a [***] with a capitol B

They keep calling me and telling me im past due i was wondering how to cancel my order ive never recieved anything from them. Nd im in the military so its hard to actually find the time to work with things like this
They called my daughter on her cell phone 12 times today. They also told her she was entered into a sweepstakes but needed to buy magazines. they had her credit card number and all. she refused and they hung up on her just to call back with another number that was blocked. I had her call her capital one account rep and have her account closed. they already have a pending sale for 67.00 posted to her account. the rep closed her account and said they would reimburse her if anything actually posted in the next few days. be weary of using your credit cards online. sign up for a paypal account and be safe.
My husband got scammed by them when he signed up for American Express credit card! When he went ahead to activate his card he was told that in order to do so he also has to sign up for the magazine subscription. He didn't care much for the magazines, but really wanted that card, so he agreed. So they transfered him to this company (its name was Countrywide Magazines, but as far as I managed to find out it is owned by the same people) where they collected his personal information and confirmed that he'll pay for the magazines via his american express card. Nobody told him about the 3 day cancellation deadline. A few days or so later, after doing some calculations, my husband decided he really doesn't want any magazines and if his american express card requires the membership to this Countrywide Magazines then he doesn't want the card either. So he went ahead and cancelled his american express card membership and in order to do so he had to pay for the first month of magazine subscription because his card was already charged. He did and we thought it will be the end of it. Later we received official agreement from Countrywide Magazines and the list of magazines to choose from. My husband never signed it. Well, for the past few months people from this magazine place keep calling and asking why he cancelled his credit card and how he is going to pay for his magazines. Mark that we NEVER received any magazines, not even for the first month that was paid for. Apparently now we owe them $190 for the past few months worth of stuff. My husband said that he doesn't want any magazines and he is not going to pay for stuff he never received. They replied that they don't send the magazines because they don't have credit card # to charge him and they will not send him stuff for free, but he has to pay because they have his verbal agreement to subscription. They gave him a 1-888 # to call. He did and the lady said that she can not cancel the subscription but she will record on his account that he requested cancellation. What is it, a life sentence??? Anyways, they're supposed to send official cancellation request letter with description of what to do next. So we will see, but I have a feeling that it will end up with legal action to get rid of them. I am telling you, I am 7 months pregnant and I don't need this stress abut I will take my time and energy to report them. I will file the harassment charges if I have to. Good luck to all of you!
