i also keep getting calls and I told them it was a scam into getting credit card #'s and the woman hung up on me. Trying to get the charges reversed and she was a [***] with a capitol B
This company called a governamet agency stating that I had sent them info about buying some magazines. My question would be why would I use a government agency phone number to a telemarketer??
I have the same problem. I called the number but no one answered or sounded busy. Then I called the 888 number that I found today since they didn't give that to me and the lady said I couldn't cancell it. I wasn't told if the three day thing and I dont want mags.
I got a call from the 888 number. "Hello you have been chosen to be put in a drawing by our publishers....." They listed a few magazines i have actually proscribed to in the past, so, i thought nothing of it. Well the lady on the phone said her name was Sarah Good, and she went on about a drawing of $5,000 and a free Diamond Watch and the subscriptions and stuff.. so my dumb self isnt really excited but Im like ok cool free crap. So they go on about the subscriptions and tell me it only $3 something a week and say it will go out every few months, and happen to be there is her Supervisor Kevin,( didnt get a last name), that congratulated me as well in the drawing of the whatever and said that Sarah was New so he wanted to see how her customer server was. Ok to make this short, I gave my info, and was told someone else was going to call, the 406 number. I told him that i would like to cancel my order, because well i just had an odd feeling after getting off the phone with the other people. But i just told the guy i didnt want the stuff and take me off there list.. and dont make any payments to anything stop payment to what i had just done with Sarah and Kevin. The guy on the phone (forgot name) kept going on and on and even said he can do the senior and school something(if in college) price for instead of $46 ever few months it would be like $21 or something. I just told him to Cancel everything and dont make the payment at all come out for this transaction. He finally said alright i will put a cancellation on it and it will say pending for 48 hours then the payment wont go threw and nothing will come out. So now i am stuck waiting to see what happens. (this just happened within the past few hours)

sorry so many. But Today i got a call back from the 888 number AGAIN and they were doing a follow up on the order i told to cancel, and they said that it wasnt canceled. I told the guy that NO i do not want any crap.. I do not Want to pay you, do not take out money. I will not read your magazines and i really dont care if i get a watch or whatever because i dont have to pay for it, so im not losing anything. Anyways, I said to him, I have 3 days to cancel my order, so i am canceling it. "I do not want to see anything come out of my account, If i do then legal actions will be taken" he didnt like that to much. said "if thats what you want then we will go ahead and cancel your order." hopefully he canceled it, or there will be a problem.
