Received a call from "Card Services" 5 minutes ago. Automated message said to "Press 9, if you would like to speak to one of our representatives about lower your interest rate on your current account". So, I pressed 9 only to see if I could actually speak to someone. The first thing he or she..who knows...said was "Card Services, Can I have your account number please?" I ask again what the "Name" of their company is, and the reply was "Card Services, can I have your account number please?" I immediately responded, No, can I have your COMPANY NAME AND LEGIT PHONE NUMBER PLEASE?" Guess what? They hung up. Ha!
same as Kirp; but I did NOT press '9' - I just held the line to see what would happen & I just got disconnected. Yeah - computer voice from "Card Services" wanting to give me a lower interest rate on my credit card. Really?!?! Seriously, do people really fall for this sh*t? Especially in these economic times - NOBODY is lowering your interest rate.
Same scenario. . .a call offering to reduce credit card rate. Press 9 , etc. I pressed 9 and a recorded voice said thanks for calling voicemail. Box 201 is full.
