i have also been receiving calls and got a "settlement" letter saying i can pay "this much" to clear up the debt. i told them those debts werent mine even though i believe they are from about 10 years ago. silly. it doesnt even show on my credit report.

if you are lucky and have an iphone or an adroid phone you can use a callfilter app and have it answer and subsequently hangup on them, never goes to voicemail.

these people use a ghost number system to try to keep from being tracked, the best bet is to report them to the federal trade comission. the web site is www.ftc.gov thats the only way to shut them down is to report them, otherwise they are going to keep up the scam collections...
