This caller continues to harrass me! Don't know 'em, don't owe 'em. I have registered my number on the national do not call registry, but they still call!
This company, Portfolio Recovery Associates, calls from many different phone numbers. Today was from 407-347-4014. Sometimes they will leave a voice message, but for someone else, not me. They will not stop calling. Others have stated that when they answer the call and say that they have the wrong number that the Portfolio employee becomes nasty. I do not need to have some total stranger try to ruin my day because they have the wrong number. Every time they call, I file a complaint with the FTC. It seems to make the calls go away for about a month, then they start again from a new number. File your complaint here: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
They calling and let me phone ring one time and hang up. They did talk to me one time when I called the number to see who it was. And it was for a credit card I never had. I have never had credit cards, it is from my ex husband bankruptcy from 12 years ago, that rolled over to me. Told them I wouldn't be paying them time statue had run out and I wasn't paying his debt. But now can't get to stop calling, I would think it is a waste of their time to deal my number to let it ring one time and hang up!! How do I get them to stop calling?
I currently have a case against them with an attorney. They have filed suit against Portfolio Recovery Services. They are breaking rules and guidelines left and right. They call before 6am on the weekends and after 9pm on weekdays. This is illegal so save call logs (since they call from several different numbers), lawyer up, and stick it to em'.
