I just received a call saying "credit card services" and to press one if I wanted to lower my interest rate. I pressed one and it rang several times until some poor guy picked it up and kept saying hello. I asked him who he was and he hung up. Poor guy probably didn't know a thing about it. I called the number back and requested removal. Let's see if they will do that.
same as above, "credit card reduction" nonsense. I pressed "1" and told the person to put us on their "Do Not Call List" and was promptly hung up on.
Am going to follow up with a complaint/report to Bell Canada.
I received a call today from this number. A recorded voice identified the caller as "card services" and suggested that they could help me get a lower interest rate on my credit cards if I would "press 1''. Press "1" I received a similar call a month or so ago and was determined this time to get some information about the callers, so I pressed 1. A live operator immediately came on, and said "I understand you're interested in getting a lower interest rate". I said I was interested in finding out who "card services" is, what they know about my credit cards, and whether there's a reason to have a conversation. They immediately hung up on me. When I called back, I got a recorded message telling me what number to press to have my number removed from the list. I tried hanging on to get someone to answer and was disconnected. I called back, tried dialing "0" for operator, and was again disconnected. I would like to help put this clearly fraudulent operation out of business.
