I received a phone call from 7024420224 which is an untracable number.An Indian sounding person said he was from Medicare and wanted information about my bank.I told him I didn't have a bank.He hung up
Got this call twice. Once they hung up and the second time, addressed by name and tried to verify So. sec. info. I told him I was not interested and was not comfortable with his call. He hung up.
I answered my mom's phone and a man with a heavy (barely understandable) accent said he was Max calling from the doctor's office (I think, hard to understand). Told him she wasn't available & could she return the call & he hung up. In reading the postings here, I think it might have been a Medicare scam. Thank goodness he hung up!
A man with a thick accent called and wouldn't say where he was calling from (other than to say it was about a windows update) and hung up on me when I asked what he wanted. He then called back a few minutes later, claiming he was "James" from " the medical office" in order to get someone else on the phone. He hung up on me both times when he realized he wasn't going to get to speak to anyone else in the household.
I got a call saying they were sending me a new health card and wanted to know the bank I was with. Very foreign sounding man and hard to understand. I hung up on him.
