Left a message threatening to have an arrest warrant issued for me if I didn't take care of some matter immediately. so upon calling back they just picked up the phone and did not identify the name of their company so when I demanded the name of the company I was hung up on multiple times. finally one gentleman that answered first spoke in an unknown language and then identified the company as being the IRS.. Scam..
I got this message as well. When I called them back, the gentleman tried multiple times to get me to pay them, once for 780-something, then 500 to avoid the arrest warrant. When I informed him that I don't have any money, he told me to go to my bank and ask them to overdraw me 500 for this. I told him they wouldn't give me $500, and he asked me what bank I banked with. I informed him that, if he were the IRS, he would know that already. His response was that he would hang up this line and I would be hearing from the sherriff's office regarding the arrest warrant. I hung up. TOTAL SCAM. Scare tactics to get money from you. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY OR INFORMATION!!!
I just got the same call. When I called back the man said a different name than mine. When I gave my name, he hung up.
I'm on SSI. I don't pay taxes! Haven't in about 10 years.
