Two calls from 409-574-1214 on my caller ID. Answered the second one - man with what sounded like a Middle Eastern accent claiming he was from Social Security Admin. and that Medicare is sending out new cards, wanted to verify where my S.S check would be deposited and account numbers, etc. Told him absolutely not and hung up. Have reported this to the Office of Inspector General, Virginia State Police and the local TV station if they want to verify and do a public service announcement. Also called Medicare - new cards are NOT sent out unless an individual requests one.
I got this call. The caller sounded as an easterner from India or a related language group. Ask for wife something about Medicate. Caller hung up when asked the reason for the call. This number called again in a couple of hours. When answered the party just disconnected.
Why is not scam listed as a type of call???? That is what this appears to be!!!!!
I received a call from this number. Female caller with a bad accent and claimed to need banking info to send me a new medicare card. I gave her the name and the Bank's number. I stupidly did. They pressure you to hurry up - only allowed a 3 minute call!!!! My son took the phone and hung up. The man called back. demanding to speak to me. My son answered so he hung up. Area code 409 is from Galveston Texas. SHAME ON YOU SLIMY PARASITES!!!! A curse upon you !
