Got call from woman speaking very broken English said was from my Medicare Advantage company (gave name), verified address, asked for bank name. Told her I didn't have a bank. CLICK!
WHY do you people even answer calls from people you do not know. Get caller I.D. If you don't personally know the caller DO NOT ANSWER. Once you answer the phone their computer knows that it is calling a working number and you will be put on the call centers CALL AGAIN number. Eventually these people in India will get all of the info they need from you and they will get your money. Nothing you can do to stop these people but letting the phone ring and don't answer. They have been to court, fined but go back into business using other phone numbers and names. Watch out as they also use March of Dimes, Diabetes Assn, Heart Assn. etc' If you want to give to a charity call then personally or better yet go to them. Some of the scammers will tell you that they just want you to send 10 envelopes out to your neighbors and ask them to send in a check. You pay the postage and will get a zillion phone calls from this scam organization. NEVER CALL BACK AS INCOMING CALLS ARE BLOCKED
Those creeps have been calling me several times a day. I am on the DO NOT CALL list, so why do they call???? Even called at 7:15 a.m. today. I have caller ID and I do not pick up the phone.
These scammers need to find something better to do than to annoy people like us. Kept getting called from someone that clearly doesn't speak English saying I'm going to receive a new medical card and I'm not even a senior citizen. Even if I don't answer the phone cause I don't recognize the phone number, they'll eventually still call. Is there any other way to stop these unwanted calls? I'm already on the Unwanted Call list, yet I get more unwanted calls now than before. I might as well either disconnect my phone line or change my number.
