I received this call too. I did not answer. The voice mail told me I would be arrested if I didn't call this number back regarding fraud. I knew it was a scam, very difficult to understand the caller.
I received a call on my cell phone this morning and it came across as EMERGENCY NUMBER...well, you can imagine that when the Indian man told me that there was a complaint and that I needed to call the "Federal Crime Office" and speak with Officer Jack Dawson (you know Leo's character from Titanic)...I work for the Federal Government and KNOW that there is NO Federal Crime Office....I called just to be tickled this morning. I was told to call Officer Jack Dawson at (410)-630-1425 by the THICK ACCENTED little Indian scammer...so when he connected me--it was about 30 seconds later that Officer Jack Dawson got on the call and told me that I needed to pay $250.00 or he was going to have a Police officer at my house to arrest me...for what crime??? he could not answer...i proceeded to tell him that he is not honorable and that he brings shame to his entire family.
I just got a call from this number - the caller spoke in broken English, and identified himself as "Sheriff Officer Chris", Maryland State Police badge no. 3215. He directed me to call a Jonathan Cook at the "Federal Crimes Department", with a phone number of 919-714-0001. I called that number and "Jonathan Cook" answered, also in broken English, and said he worked for the District Court of North Carolina. There was a lot of noise in the background, people's voices - didn't sound like a court office to me. The 919-714-0001 number shows up a lot on the unwanted calls list - the whole thing smells like a scam to me. Didn't give out my name or any other information - I'd advise the same for anyone else...
