Received a call from 911, from Sheriff Dispatch Patrick. His message was that a fraud complaint was filed against me and I must surrender immediately to my local Police Dept or he will send out an officer with a certified warrant to arrest me at my home or business. He had a very strong accent and spoke broken English. He stated that I needed to call the NYS Police Dept to speak with Officer Jonathan Cook at 919-714-0056.
I got a call from this number 410-630-1425 today at 4:55pm. Stating that I would be arrested I needed to call back and speak to David Berkins concerning the matter. It is quite upsetting to get a message like that. I decided to go to the local library and check it out to see if it was a scam. I feel so much better knowing that it is a scam. I just don't understand how people could get away with this kind of fraud. It could give someone a heart attack.
I have received two voice messages from 410-630-1425 can't understand first part of message,the part I can understand she wants me to call back at the number given so she can verify my bank information so she could deposit the money in my bank. I have not called I never give out that type of information over the phone. This is the same number that several months ago call from the Federal Crimes dept. saying they had a warrant for me and that I was to go to to the neatest police dept. and turn myself in or pay them an amount of money Captain Dawson was the caller and the one I was to call back so we could take care of this warrant. Both of the calls have been on my cell phone. I reported the call to the police, sheriffs dept and the Federal Communications dept. It was not the first complaint on that number and they would check into it, they did a great job now I get yet another phone call, this time wanting my bank information.
