Called at 8:00 PM Caller ID shows JOHN INFORM ELE. I let it ring as the number and ID are not familiar. No message left. Must be some scam, especially calling at such a late hour.
These idiots are one of the best examples of why the Do-Not-Call legislation is such an absolute joke. By passing themselves off as a PAC, they qualify as a political call, which are allowed under the DNC law. This is the third different number these A-holes have used to annoy me, and by the looks of it, many, many, many others!! It's like this past election cycle will never end. I'd love to see a Do-Not-Call registry that actually meant DO NOT CALL...period. No politicians, no charities, no surveys, and just no nonsense calls at all. But that, unfortunately, ain't ever gonna happen. You simply have to spend the money for a decent call blocking device if you ever want to have any peace and quiet.
Called at 8 PM Pacific time. Didn't recognize number so came here to see who it was. It's amazing how many numbers they use! I didn't know that calling in 30 seconds was a way to try to force the call through, interesting, I always wondered why they did that. Thanks for the info, folks!
