I just received a similar phone call, but from a different number. Was there any additional charges on your phone bill after you pushed one? I just did before I read this column and would like to know if I need to contact my phone provider.
My advice to you all is, never press 1. Because sometimes they call you and tell you this big lie about your whatever being expired or your late payment, and they ask you to punch in number so and so to solve the problem. Well, sometimes that number you press is really a scam to put you on a list to send you advertisments and stuff. It's scamming you into agreeing to recieve ads and phone calls from telemarketers.
I am in GA also..Got the call at 8:06 PM tonight..Same junk about car warranty..I have been getting much Spam snail mail from this outfit in the last few months all trashed and not reponded to. I did file a "Do not call" complaint too..
