Claims I have been charged with fraudulent bank activity or fraudulent checks, I don't even have a bank account, we use prepaid debit/credit cards for all our transactions or cash. I put our numbers on the do not call list but so far it hasn't worked.
I received a call today from the same number when I did I search to find out what it was I found it all to be a scam they can not throw you in jail for a debt this was told to me by the sheriff and a lawyer they can only attempt to collect these people are wanting your personal information to access you banking accounts this is a SCAM do not give them any personal information I don't care what they tell you and not to mention process servers do not call to make sure your home before showing up to your house but you can not and will not be thrown in jail or have charges put on you for owing a debt with any one or any company
I just had a friend text me saying there was a call to him to have me call the number 412-346-1349. I spoke with a Lewis Fargus who was civil enough. When I gave him my name I wasn't even in their system. I informed him of the harrassment of my friend and that if it didn't cease I would report the company for violations of the Fair Debt Collections Act. They cannot threaten arrest or anything. If it were a true debt collection they would already have the information and a person would have already been served.
Claims to be from the government and calling to tell me charges have been filed in my county and there was fraudulent activity on my account then they just cut the call.
I've dealt with these people several times before. Just more scammers, best to not let them waste your time and just block the number
I got the same phone call today. They can kiss it!! I'm not calling them back and I will not acknowledge them either. They never even said what the debt was for or a company name. all they say is they are from the process and summons division.
Yep, this is fake. I've gone though about a week of calls like this once or twice a year for the last 5 years from people like this. Different names, same story, nothing served. Probably should change my phone number but just easy enough to just block them until they find new number and then block that.
Please don't be ignorant enough to give these scammers any info as it just feeds them and keeps them going.
