Claims I have been charged with fraudulent bank activity or fraudulent checks, I don't even have a bank account, we use prepaid debit/credit cards for all our transactions or cash. I put our numbers on the do not call list but so far it hasn't worked.
Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process. They will deliver the notification without warning.
Also, if you were threatened with an "arrest warrant" via a phone call or email, read this:
http://news.uscourts.gov/warning-arrest-warrant-scam
"The warrant is phony. A valid warrant would not be served by fax or e-mail. It would be served in person by a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer."
"Anyone receiving a fake arrest warrant should contact the FBI or the district U.S. Marshals Office. If there is any question regarding the authenticity of a warrant, contact your district clerk of court."
Same number 412 346 -1349 they said the same to me. I had my email hacked about a year ago and about every three months I get calls from some scam. These people just letting me know they are serving papers to my home or work place and ask for a case number. The gave some number for me and said for me to call immediately so I could stop process over phone. We have block number and this one will be too. I wish this would stop. I appreciate you posting makes it better for other who receive the calls.
Well, I guess I received calls from this number, too. My caller ID said blocked/unavailable, but the two (two calls) messages sounds like the others here. They were looking for a Ron Miller, and they even gave the address of this person. The address was not even real, because there is no circle address in the area I live. My dad did call the number in the messages back. He did not give any information, but the case number from the two messages. He said that we did not know Ron Miller, so the woman on the phone said we will not receive no more calls.
I'm asking the same question I asked above since this is a more recent post, so pardon the double post...why "keep" getting voice mails? Block the numbers. All they have to do is call one time and they'd be blocked.
