This company is sketchy as it gets. They provided background info from someone else with same name from states I have never even been to. Combined background info from multiple people with same first and last name. Cost me a job and I am currently taking this company to court.
They said they were doing a background check for my company and
they asked for my date of birth
If they were legal, they wouldn't call my cell phone, which costs me money, and would already have all my information.
They called and needed my date of birth to run a background check for a potential employer. I've interviewed with this employer twice and knew they would be doing the background check with Justifacts. My only contact number is my cell phone and I gave them the information requested (DOB).
Obviously I would not have talked to them if I wasn't expecting it, but also keep in mind any time a legit screening agency is checking your information you at least should find out who is ordering it and why. If someone was using my identity to try and get a job I would want to know. I inquired about getting a copy of the report and they said that was possible.
Hi~ I worked for Justifacts for many years and they are a legit background check company. If someone calls to ask for your date of birth, it is because someone you applied with is asking them to do a check, and a DOB is needed. Simply ask them who the employer is. If they won't tell you, then there is probably an issue. It is possible to get a copy of your report, simply dial the number provided and ask :) Hope this helps!
This is a call from Justifacts a background check company. I interviewed with a company and they had me fill out a justifacts background check form for the job.
They are legit. They asked for my date of birth and last 4 of my social. They also confirmed the employer's name.
This number is Justifacts and they call you to verify information relating to a background check for employment. I interviewed for a position and was offered the job, pending the background check. Justifacts called me and referenced the company who gave me the offer. They called regarding a contact number for a previous company I worked for.
If you're entertaining an offer from a potential employer, I would not ignore this call.
