I called them back because I got so many calls...gave them my name, home and cell number...they checked my number and apparently my cell number used to belong to someone who has a debt...I cleared that up and they said they would take my number off their list.
I keep recieving calls from (414)224-3580, Professional Placement Services for debit collection for speeding ticket in 2004. Debt was paid by check in 2006 as my process for gaining drivers license in Alaska was held up until paid. I explained all of this to them a couple of time, even told them to contact my lawyer as well as base legal officer. I'm tired of being harrassed, and would love to see legal action taken against this company. Scott
I have also begun receiving calls from this organization who is attempting to collect money from me for a 2003 speeding ticket in WI that I have paid years ago. This "debt" has never been billed by mail and has not appeared in my credit report until a few months ago as the calls started. I have been at the same address for years after the ticket was paid! It now effects my score and I will need to clear it out! It seems that a list from Wisconsin has been sold to some scoundrels out to scam some money. Obviously, by the name of the organization, they intend to prey upon hopeful job hunters in a weak economy. Shame on PPS and shame on the State of Wisconsin for resorting to such tactics to pull in some cash.
This person calls my home without leaving a message and I have no idea as to what he wants. I have an unpublished number and I am on the "Do Not Call" list. He calls anyway. I have already filed a complaint against him.
I have been receiving calls from this number as well. I do not answer, but they continue to leave messages probably 2-3 time a week for months. How do you block the calls? Where do you register a complaint? Is there anyway to stop it? I know for a fact I have no outstanding debts or traffic violations.
