The reason my cell phone and house phone numbers are listed on "Do Not Call' is to stop such telemarketing calls, but 'Do Not Call' does not seem to be working. Am continuing to get several telemarketing calls and text messages offering cash or stating my credit card is in good standing or some language to that effect, but we'd like to offer . . etc. Have yet to wait and hear their whole spcheel. Still, it is annoying and it costs me for their calls and text messages on my Go-Phone. Maddening to say the least!
This is a solicitation for business or a telemarketer. They have already violated the federal do not call law. With a little digging, this number can be traced back to the owner, then a lawsuit can be filed in your home state with a $35 dollar filing fee.You can collect over 1, 000 per call and they will be forced to pay. Otherwise, find the name of the business, file a complaint with the FTC and with the AG in the state from which they are calling. All this can be done online.
