Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Just got a phone call from "Officer Nicki Johnson". I couldn't understand what she was saying and instead of speaking clearer or getting a manager on the line, she hung up. Yeah, totally legit. *sarcasm*
I'm a student and haven't filed taxes in like 6 years. I also have a parent who works at the IRS building in DC and calls almost every day. I think I'd know if the IRS was calling.
got the same call - Officer Nicki Johnson. the weird thing is that I submitted tax forms electronically via Turbo Tax just a day or two ago. I hope they haven't tapped into those communications.
The number 415-226-6162 is originating from San Rafael, California. Received today Saturday 3/14/15 @ 12:20 PM It is a taped message from a woman allegedly from the IRS saying to call before legal action is taken!
