just got the same message from "Nicki Johnson" at the IRS. I know better then to call back blocked the number hope they try again so I can copy the info down !
Got a call from this number yesterday after filing my taxes via TurboTax Monday, same drill, answered with bogus IRS claims, and when they asked if i had any questions regarding the "charges" brought against me, i asked "how would I know if you're actually with the IRS?," guy immediately went on the defensive and told me he was filing his "case" before rudely hanging up on me. I have family in the banking industry and when I called to relate what happened, they explained that it is a scam, do NOT give out personal information as the IRS will contact anyone by mail if there are issues with your federal returns.
I been getting calls from 415-226-6162. They claim that they are from the IRS. They also said not to ignore the call and return the call to the above # otherwise you would be in trouble. I have checked the number and there are several reports of the same as scam. Please follow up on this.
Call em back they love it. Just push the buttons over and over. I am going to save that Number in my phone so When Im having a bad day I can call him and tell him what a piece of craop he is. LMAO
Got a call from this 415-226-6162 said important call from the IRS, pleasant voice saying do not disregard this message....looked up the area code and it is off the coast of California...then googled the number and found tax scam...
