I received a phone call from the number 4152349598, leaving a distorted voice message on my phone. When I called the number back a guy answered the phone he asked for the phone number then my name, when I told him that they called me so he should have that info he hung up. I have family members that work for the IRS so this call was very strange. So I googled the number and came upon this website. I then called the number back and threatened them with legal action if they called my number again. This website was very helpful.
Left message on voice mail saying it was an officer from Internal Revenue, time sensitive and we were to call immediately or action would be taken against us. Returned the call out of interest and man of whom I could not understand (from India or some other country) sounded like He was half asleep. When I began to question him he yelled for me to shut up while he was speaking and told me to calm down. I told him that I was going to call the police and hung up. Then I called back and another man from same country answered. I began to question him and he too said calm down several times. So I told him I was going to call the IRS and report them because this was a scam.
First time I received this IRS scam call from this number. Previously, they were from 202 area codes. I usually don't answer my phone anymore and just check out the caller later. They left a distorted message saying they were from the IRS with a time sensitive issue.
These scammers maybe getting desperate because pretending to be IRS no longer scares people.
Given so many spam calls, people just choose NOT to answer calls
I recieved another call from the IRS 415) 234-9598 from Mike Jones and bad engines as well. He was looking for my husband and since I wouldn't let him talk to my husband he yelled at me to never call him again. I called again he hung up on me immediately. I called him again and he answered it and he said if I called him again he was sending the police to my house and hung up. Laughing my butt off because I don't live in California.
