Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
3:00pm Nov 20, 2014 Received call from 415 234-9610 advising me to call back before they take any action against me. I tried to call back but blocked my telephone number, guess what, no one answered. I then jumped on the internet and asked for the address of tel. no 415-234-9610 and got this web page. Thank you for all your messages. This is an obvious scam, why does the telephone company not take any action to stop this?
Same as above- received the call today from 415-234-9610 an automated threatening message stating they were from the IRS- There is no way we owe any money to the IRS so I knew this had to be a scam- googled the number and came up here- I will be reporting this- thank you for the information above
This is ridiculous, it's the second time we've received this call at my place of employment. Someone needs to do something about it and stop them. I called the number back, told them it was a scam and the man became very irate and started swearing at me.
I just got the call, called from other phone and went to vm, but called back from thephone they called , they picked up. Not sure if they are in US, if yes wonder why Fed has not taking action about them.
Yeah, they called me. For fun I called back, got what sounded like a south Asian call center, and some guy with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent who said his name was Allan and he was from the IRS--at 7:00 AM on a Saturday. I told Allan his name wasn't Allan, that he wasn't with the IRS, and that I was going to hunt him down and kill him if he called me again. He hung up.
