Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I just received a call from Irs her name is julia brown she called and said I need to call her back at the number she gave me at 415 234 9610 I called the number back and they said call later the mail box is full I called a tax person they said the Irs does not call on saturday so dont believe that person their should be a law against that. 11 22 14 at 11 15 am
There are laws. But your callers are located in either India or Pakistan and regularly ignore all US laws. Call blocker is your best bet and never return these kinds of calls.
from the moment I heard the message I knew it was a scam, not only because of the fact that I do not owe taxes, and that income taxes are just around the corner, but the fact they did not address the name of the person the msg was for. I have no intentions of calling them back even though I was tempted to do so telling them I am with the FBI, just to see how they would react.
I received this call this morning (pst) There was a message on my machine. I called the number back about an hour later, and it rang once and then disconnected. I thought it very odd,but as I think about it more, I wonder if they could get information about accounts etc. by a returning a phone call. Are you calling police or worrying about identify theft? It was helpful to hear other individual accounts, but I'm wondering if we should do something more? Would love to hear from you.
