Have received 2 phone calls from this number within 2 hours. He is a foreigner and can hardly understand what the message even says. I heard something about tax return and litigation if I don't return the call.
Let's stop these scammers who give the IRS a bad name. All of my dealings with the IRS was always helpful & polite.
He left a message on my answering machine that was hard to understand and said that they were calling from the IRS about my income tax and that I was overdue and needed to call back immediately with the name of my tax attorney. I called back and they said that I had ignored two certified letters and they needed my attorneys number to provide all of the documentation. I told them that they could mail it to me personally and that I had never received any certified letters. They were fairly hostile in tone. He said that I would receive something tomorrow and hung up. I saved the call. Me Too. Same alias.
Got a call from some weirdo asking me if I knew about the lawsuit filed against me, I thought for half a second and started cracking up and told him to go f... himself!
receive the same phone call. my VM pick it up. The caller ID store the phone #. Look it up on internet found out everyboby got the same scam about owning money to IRS.
