Got the same call from This so called "tax litigation dept". Guy with an East Indian accent. It's a SCAM. The IRS will never call you. They will send you a letter if there is an issue. I was tempted to call back and harass them.
I just received the same scary call, from an Indian guy with thick accent named Jack Thomas. Told me to have my attorney call about deficiency in taxes, gave me case number and told me to call for Michael cutter.....my accountant said DO NOT EVER CALL since IRS notifies by post mail only!!
Please find these scammers asap!!
