I get calls all the time and silence on the other end. when I see what the person above found online about them being associated with NARAL it makes sense. They call me all the time so I am assuming they are speed calling and just answer the first person that answers and then hang up on the rest. How annoying!
I just as in just got a call from this number! anyways i did not want to take this call, so was hopign they left a message which they didnt. In any case, glad to see it was a telemarkter type call.
Just got a call from this number and I picked up -- they were taking pledges for a PBS affiliate, WLIW 21 on Long island, NY. I did make a pledge through them because it sounded legitimate, and they had my data from previous pledges to WLIW. Thank you JFW -- sounds as if your research is on target and I don't have to worry about these folks.
Call the number on this link: (415)613-4921 and someone will answer on the first ring. They apologized and explained that it was most likely calls being forwarded from my land line...it was. Something about there auto-dialer...
